All Saints Day Celebration

October 14, 2025 / CL / News, Youth

Good Shepherd invites children PreK-7 to choose a SAINT to honor and dress up as one on ALL SAINTS DAY, Saturday, November 1!

“In Catholicism, saints hold a special place as holy individuals who led exemplary lives of virtue and faith. They are venerated and invoked as intercessors who can pray on behalf of the faithful to God. Saints are often associated with specific patronages—areas of life, professions, or causes they protect or advocate for.” — excerpt from online article

Consider dressing as your favorite saint, patron saint, “middle name” saint, or any other Catholic saint you would like to honor.

Learn more about your saint through books, research, online Catholic sites, etc.

Dressing up as a saint is easy — there are lots of sites that help give ideas on how to create a SAINT COSTUME using t-shirts, towels, material, etc.

Over 150 All-Saints Day Costumes for Kids

Children will line up at 3:45 p.m. to process in the entrance procession!

Near the end of the Mass, children will be invited to come forward and share with the assembly “WHO THEY ARE, and WHAT THEIR SAINT IS KNOWN FOR!”

A group photo of all the saints will follow the Mass, along with a cookies and punch reception for everyone to get to know the saints a little more!

We hope you will share in this special event and take some time to learn more about your favorite saint!
