It’s a Celebration!
Let’s all celebrate and have a good time! The life of a parish is exactly that, life. It is proper and good that we do celebrate life. Not only in our parish but also in our families, in our community, in our country, and in our world. For no matter where we are or where we go, without life there is no celebration. It is so precious a gift that to not celebrate it leads to desolation. Being open to life in the family leads to building better communities. Being open to life in the community, leads to building a “more perfect union” (country). Being open to life in our country leads to building a better world. It is only through life that we can build a better anything. And it is through the rejection of life that we become desolate. For God so loved the world that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that all who believe in him may not perish, but may have eternal life. So on our parish calendar we set aside a time to celebrate this life that we share. Knowing that without it we have nothing and that with it we have each other.
